Damara earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies from the University of Amsterdam, where they explored how theatre can support children's development. They went on to complete an Master of Arts in Applied Theatre at Goldsmiths, University of London, gaining experience in using theatre practices to empower and support vulnerable communities, followed by an Master of Education in Educational Psychology from the University of Virginia to deepen their understanding of child and adolescent development. These academic experiences, combined with a passion for helping young people thrive, led Damara to join Keswick School as a Residential Instructor, where they are eager to gain further experience supporting youth in overcoming challenges and achieving success.
"I chose to work at Keswick School because I am passionate about building genuine, supportive relationships with young people and being there for them during both their challenges and successes. I find it incredibly rewarding to witness students grow, develop, and gain confidence while supporting them through hands-on, day-to-day interactions. The beautiful, peaceful environment at Keswick also creates a unique setting where students can learn, grow, and thrive."
