Keswick Students
Keswick School specializes in supporting boys between the ages of 10 and 18 (between the ages of 10 and 15 at enrollment) with complex social-emotional, developmental, and learning needs. Historically, our students have struggled to navigate long-standing and complex challenges at home and/or school. Many have faced endless barriers to their growth after extensive but inadequate or poorly targeted treatment.
It is common for our students to carry multiple diagnoses, including:
- ADHD
- Autism spectrum disorder – level 1
- Anxiety disorders
- Depression
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder
- Specific learning disabilities
- Bipolar disorder
- Nonverbal learning disability
- Other mood disorders
- Social pragmatic communication disorder
- Oppositional defiant disorder
- Attachment issues
The effects of their challenges often include growing discord with peers and family, deteriorating self-esteem, a compromised sense of well-being, a shrinking social world, and the development of unproductive compensatory behaviors.
Keswick School does not enroll students who have a history of substance abuse, police or court involvement, sexual activity or exposure, or who are currently experiencing sustained physical aggression, elopement, significant suicidal ideation, self-harm, or gender dysphoria.
When making enrollment decisions, we do not consider a student’s or his family’s nationality, religion, ethnicity, race, or citizenship status.
