Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is the most important philanthropic priority for the school. Annual Fund gifts enhance our programs and help make Keswick School more accessible to families in need.
Donors are encouraged to give unrestricted gifts that are applied to areas of greatest need. Unrestricted giving allows the school the flexibility to respond to challenges and opportunities that occur.
Restricted gifts to specific needs are welcome. Some of the areas of most importance are financial aid, staff development support, and capital projects across the campus. We currently have a couple of specifically restricted areas of giving:
- Nicholas Hannant Scholarship Fund (established in memory of a former student)
- Gabriel Hirsch Poetry and Art Fund (established by Janet Landay, mother of a former student in his memory)
If you would like to discuss a particular restricted gift, please contact Dr. Deb Rexrode, Director of Development, at (434) 295-0457 or [email protected].

The Annual Fund benefits everyone at Keswick School every day. Consisting of unrestricted donations, the Annual Fund has a transformative effect on our community enabling us to enhance and expand our programs and make Keswick School more accessible to families in need. Unrestricted gifts allow us to focus on areas of greatest need.
Keswick School is a therapeutic special education boarding school providing comprehensive academic and therapeutic services that help our students overcome complex learning and emotional challenges. The experiences our students benefit from would not be possible without the yearly contributions made to the Annual Fund. These investments provide what tuition revenue alone cannot and create an atmosphere in which students have opportunities to learn, grow and give back.
Gifts to the Annual Fund support our academic program, library, classroom technology, and faculty/staff professional development, as well as the arts, athletics, and the general scholarship fund. Each year priorities are identified to benefit the students in the best possible way.
Recognition of gifts happens annually in the school’s Annual Report. These include gifts received from July 1 through June 30. We are grateful to accept your contributions at any time of year.
The Keswick School Education Corporation is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Please consult your tax advisor regarding specific questions about your deductions.
