Ruben's journey to Keswick School has focused on helping young people, from summer camp counseling to his time at the YMCA. These experiences shaped the degree he earned at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. Ruben aspires to work in full-time ministry, likely as a youth pastor or missionary. When he's not at Keswick, you can find him with his wife and baby, or kicking a soccer ball with friends.
"Having experienced failure and poor choices during my middle and high school years, it would have been easy to move on and do what everyone else did. But when I remember what it felt like to be alone and misunderstood, I think of the coaches, teachers, and mentors that supported and kept me from isolation. Being at Keswick School inspires me to be the type of man that was there when it felt like no one else was. There is so much support and care across campus. I am blessed to be a part of a team that wants to be a community for boys who can often feel misunderstood and alone."
