Colleen owned and operated a local business for 11 years before pivoting into the Human Resources field. She began with a national company, Qualified Staffing & Search Firm, as a District Manager overseeing two branches focused on providing staffing and executive placement in seven counties throughout Central Virginia. Most recently Colleen was the Human Resources Manager with St. Anne’s-Belfield School. A co-ed independent boarding and day school for students in Pre-K through Grade 12 located in Charlottesville, Virginia. During her time at St. Anne’s, she supported more than 250 colleagues in the many complex functions of HR. Prior to that Colleen served as the Human Resources Director for The Montpelier Foundation. Home of the Center for the Constitution and James Madison’s house/museum. Colleen has a people-first mentality by supporting the needs of all staff in a calm and positive manner. At Keswick School she plans to build upon the current protocols while creating foundational practices to advance and elevate our human resources operations, policies, and programs.
“My experience as an HR professional in independent boarding schools as driven me to choose Keswick School because of the meaningful impact the staff make every day. My goal is to be a supportive resource to each employee.”
Colleen enjoys spending time with her husband and five adult children. They typically like to plan experiential activities such as a recent goat cheese making class at Caramont Farm. One of her hobbies is painting. Mainly sill life and landscape compositions. Additionally, she and her husband enjoy traveling and cooking together.
