What is the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund benefits everyone at Keswick School every day. Consisting of unrestricted donations, the Annual Fund has a transformative effect on our community enabling us to enhance and expand our programs and help make TKS more accessible to families in need. Gifts are unrestricted so that funds may be applied to areas of greatest need.

Why do we need the Annual Fund?

Keswick School is a therapeutic special education boarding school providing comprehensive academic and therapeutic services that help our students overcome complex learning and emotional challenges. The experiences our students benefit from would not be possible without the yearly contributions made to the Annual Fund. These investments provide what tuition revenue alone cannot and help create an atmosphere in which students have opportunities to learn, grow and give back.

How are Annual Giving dollars used?

Gifts to the Annual Fund support our academic program, library, classroom technology, and faculty/staff professional development, as well as the arts, athletics, and the general scholarship fund. These priorities are identified by the TKS leadership, ensuring annual giving dollars are used to benefit the students in the best possible way.

Does it matter when I pledge or make a gift?

Yes. By making your gift or pledge early in the school year, we will know how much money is available to support our students and programs. Please note that all gifts are due by June 30, which is the end of our fiscal year. However, we are grateful to accept your contributions at any time of year.

Is my gift tax deductible?

The Keswick School Education Corporation is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. No goods or services are provided for this gift. Please consult your tax advisor regarding specific questions about your deductions.

Can we make a gift to a specific purpose?

Certainly. The Annual Fund’s focus is on unrestricted gifts because these funds provide important flexibility for supporting areas of greatest need. However, please let us know if there is a specific project you would like to fund.
