Daytime Shift Supervisor
Part of the TKS community since 2008
B.A. in Sociology, Davis and Elkins College, 2004
Alex worked as an admissions counselor for Davis and Elkins College for a year after graduating. Then he worked at Alldredge Academy as a therapeutic wilderness counselor for 4 year before coming to TKS. Alex worked as a dorm counselor, support counselor, shift supervisor, and Assistant Residential Coordinator prior to his current role since joining the TKS team.
“I work at TKS to make a difference; a difference in the lives of our students and as well as their families. I work at TKS because the sense of community you feel when you walk around campus is real. There is a collective group of both staff and students working together to achieve something greater for themselves and those around them.”
Outside of work, Alex loves to spend time with my family: going hiking on one of the local trails, visiting the farmers’ market or just playing outside. He is passionate about the being outdoors and participating in hiking, skiing, snow boarding or just spending some time in the woods. Alex is also an avid runner, who loves putting miles in running around the street and trails of Charlottesville.
